ā ļø WARNING ā ļø
Repurposing blog content doesnāt mean hitting copy and paste and calling it a day. (You can do better than that!)
Repurposing is about pulling out the important and attention-grabbing bits from your blog, expanding on them and presenting them to a new audience in a fresh way.
Repurposing your blog content isnāt hard and it doesnāt have to take a lot of time. Hereās how to get started. šš»
Pick a blog post and read through it for tips, statistics, quotes, and questions that you think will grab your social media audienceās attention.
Then, try one of these methods to turn it into an engaging social media post.
Pull out the main ideas from your blog and use them to create a series of graphics to keep people clicking through. Then, use your caption to fill in a little context and keep the conversation going. TIP: Stop the scroll by putting an attention-grabbing headline (ā4 Ways To [TASK]ā or āTry [X] Instead of [Z]ā) and CTA on your carouselās cover!
Let your blog content speak for itself with a simple graphic and a caption that digs into why the quote or statistic is important.
Pop into your stories with a question or poll sticker and get a conversation going about a topic covered in your latest blog post. Make sure to include a CTA and a link to your site!
If your blog graphics already include important information or eye-catching quotes, repurpose those, too! Donāt forget to resize them to fit the 9:16 Stories format.
This kind of carousel post keeps it conversational and lets you break down your content into 1-2 line statements that are easy to read and keep people clicking through your slides. Search āTweet Threadā in Canva and youāll be shown countless templates you can easily customize for your brand.
People want to hear from youāthe face behind the business. Talk about the main points of your post in a reel to educate and connect with your audience. Start the reel with a question or hook like āTHIS is the main mistake I see [audience] makingā or āI bet you didnāt know [BLANK] about [BLANK]! TIP: Make sure to film yourself vertically (ie. in portrait orientation) with good lighting and add closed captioning to the video.
When in doubt, make people laugh! Humour is always a great way to grab someoneās attention and leave them curious and wanting to learn more. Use the insights behind the blog post to create a relatable and entertaining reel for your audience. Use Giphy.com or the Giphy extension in Canva to search for your favourite clips to turn into a meme!
Donāt forget to add a link for your blog (or for a couple of specific blog posts) to your Instagram link in bio landing page. You want people to be able to learn more from your blog with a quick click – instant access, no barriers or hoops to jump through!

If you really want to make your blog content work for you, repurpose it across different social media platforms.
ā”ļø Tweet it on Twitter
ā”ļø Publish the blog as an article on LinkedIn
ā”ļø Create graphics for Pinterest
ā”ļø Post it to Facebook
Remember, your audience is a little different on each platform so tweak your captions and media accordingly.
Blogs are a powerful tool for generating website traffic and building brand relationships with existing and future clients. Theyāre also a buffet of snack-sized social post ideas! š
Make the most of the time and creative energy you put into writing blog posts by mining them for engaging social media content that will leave your audience hungry for more.
